ANTONIO J. P. FIGUEIREDO

António Figueiredo is a Portuguese citizen, having 31 years experience in the marine industry.
After having graduated António Figueiredo served as an Officer in the Portuguese Army during one year and afterwards worked with shore based industry, shipyards/repair companies and a Classification Society within Europe, prior to be employed by SCUA in April 1991 where he worked until September 2005.
In October 2005 he formed the Surveying Company IBERIAN SHIPS SURVEYORS where he holds the position of General Manager and Senior Surveyor. During his time as Surveyor with SCUA-Lisbon he gained a broad experience with Hull and Machinery repairs, as well as fire damages, grounding damages, salvage operations, collision damage analysis and loss of hire matters. He has also good knowledge and experience in preparing of repair specifications for major repairs, following up tender procedures and settlement of repair accounts. He has also been engaged in pollution cases and other technical matters for P&I Clubs.
